If you regularly follow speed-related blockbusters, such as from the series Fast and Furious, perhaps we are no stranger to scenes of drivers driving backwards as fast as forward. However, in fact, they are all from techniques that come out with the most common method of reversing the outer body frame.
For example, in the movie 2 Fast 2 Furiousthe Mitsubishi EVO 12 driven by Paul Walker has been carefully modified to be able to drive backwards at high speeds (over 160 km/h).
Backing up at high speeds, especially at speeds up to nearly 100 km/h, is not easy
With an original car on the market, it is rare to be able to reverse at a speed of several tens of km / h. Car manufacturers usually limit the reverse gear speed on product lines to 60 mph (96.5 km/h).
The Guinness World Record for the shortest time for a car to go back one mile (1.6 km) has just been taken by Scott Burner from Nashville, USA, in fact, only witnessed the speed of the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. His average threshold is 77.2 km/h and a maximum of 87 km/h.

Sharing about his record, Scott said he has a long experience with a YouTube channel called “Always in reverse” – Always in Reverse – so he has a lot of time to prepare. When driving in reverse, Scott turned to the right to look behind him, with his right hand on the side seat and his left hand on the steering wheel.

Scott’s vision is purely aimed at the back window – the kind of observation he chose and practiced since 2000 to the present.
