CandySign, a fairly new brand in the market, has recently introduced a new product, a 35W fast charger using GaN (Gallium nitride) technology. The highlight of this product comes from its extremely compact, beautiful design and not too high price, suitable for charging phones, tablets or even MacBooks.
The CandySign GaN 35W fast charger uses the “Less, But Better” design, a design theme initiated by German author Dieter Rams, mentioned in the book. titled with the same name, published in 1996. This design turns a GaN charger into not only a common technology gadget, but also a minimalist decorative accessory.
From the packaging stage, CandySign clearly shows the thoroughness of the product. The packaging is wrapped in a thin layer of paper with a candy print, which is the logo of the CandySign brand
Inside is a cardboard box, printed with the product name, brand name and product information. The packaging is quite advanced, few products on the market have such luxurious packaging
The accessories included inside are not too many, including only a main charger, a user manual (in Chinese) and a candy-shaped sticker. Unfortunately, users will not be provided with a charging cord, but will have to buy it separately

This can be considered as the smallest size 35W charger on the market today, lying in the palm of your hand.
According to the manufacturer’s announcement, this charger has a size of 33 x 32 x 32mm, not too heavy in weight and has an almost complete cube shape.
Compared to Apple’s 18W charger, CandySign GaN 35W looks quite “slim”
The manufacturer even designed the charging pin to be a folding foot to optimize the size even more. The downside is that this type of folding leg will be less durable than the fixed leg type. If not machined and finished well, in the process of using careless users may encounter the phenomenon of broken joints.
The front side of the charger has a round red LED, according to the manufacturer, with 3 different brightness levels signaling for fast, medium and slow charging capacity.

Although it is a well-invested product in terms of appearance, if you “look” closely, you will still see a few details that have not been completed very well.
The upper part of the charger is where the USB-C charging port can output a maximum charging capacity of 35W, enough to quickly charge both iPhones and iPads and charge for MacBook Air and at least for MacBook Pro.
According to the announcement, the 35W CandySign charger can charge 60% for iPhone 13 or 50% for iPad Pro with 30 minutes of charging, and 70% for MacBook Air with 60 minutes of charging.
The 35W capacity is PD (Power Delivery) standard, so this charger will not be able to fast charge Android devices using its own fast charging standard (Xiaomi, Huawei or OPPO). Of course, users can still use it to charge any device that supports charging via the USB-C port
Because there is no included charging cord, if using a 3rd party cord, it will look less fashionable. CandySign charging cord is sold by the company for 89 – 99 yuan, equivalent to about 295 – 327 thousand VND and has MFi certification for Lightning – C cord
The 35W CandySign GaN charger is currently being sold on Taobao e-commerce site with a list price of 149 yuan, equivalent to about 495,000 VND. Depending on the time, the product can be discounted to 119 yuan, equivalent to 395,000 VND, a relatively attractive price for a high-capacity fast charger for iPhone, the design is both beautiful and compact. Unfortunately, the product is not currently sold in Vietnam market.
