Apple may launch a stylus for iPhone at a cheap price

Apple was said to have planned to launch a new $49 iPhone-compatible Apple Pencil this year, but canceled the plan at the last minute.

According to a Weibo account, Apple is said to be planning to launch a new Apple Pencil codenamed “Maker” (or more likely, “Marker”) at an event in September 2022. Even more than 1 million of these accessories were produced, but the release was canceled at the last minute for unknown reasons.

To keep costs down, the device is said to have no force-sensing technology or a rechargeable battery, instead using a built-in chip that powers the stylus through the iPad or iPhone display, similar to how it works. movement of Samsung’s S-Pen.

At $49 the unreleased Apple Pencil is significantly cheaper than the first and second generation Apple Pencil models, priced at $99 and $129 respectively.
