MSI has officially announced the all-new AIO MAG Coreliquid dedicated heatsink line, which is fully compatible with Intel’s next-generation Alder Lake LGA 1700 desktop CPU models. In fact, the launch of the MAG Coreliquid AIO did not surprise many people because the information about this discrete heatsink was leaked relatively detailed more than a month ago, on many major technology forums. However, there is still a lot to be said regarding the design and performance of these new products.
Basically, the Coreliquid series is divided into two main product lines: C and P, including the MAG Coreliquid C240, MAG Coreliquid C280, MAG Coreliquid C360, MAG Coreliquid P240, MAG Coreliquid P280, and MAG Coreliquid P360 models.
All are designed to provide class-leading liquid cooling performance for any PC system from entry to high end. However, branch C will have more RGB lights to increase aesthetic efficiency, suitable for use in PC gaming systems. Products in the P branch will not be equipped with RGB, but in return will have a more affordable price. Both branches offer products in sizes 240, 280 and 360 mm. It all depends on the needs of each user object.
And as mentioned, one of the highlights of this lineup lies in its full compatibility with Intel’s next-generation Alder Lake Desktop CPUs on the LGA 1700 socket. Not many similar products on the market do.
Going deeper into the technical details, MSI says the new heatsinks have an all-aluminum design and come with 400mm diameter liquid pipes that connect directly to the pump system. The blower will operate between 500-2000 RPM, and has a flow rate of 78.73 CFM. This fan system will have a lifespan of 70,000 hours, equivalent to 8 years of use. Noise level is maintained at just 14.3 dBA (500 RPM)/34.3 dBA (2000 RPM). MSI equips the fans with a dual ball bearing design and is powered by a 4-pin PWM connector. The current used is at 0.15A with an average power consumption of 1.8W.
MAG CORELIQUID C Series
The pump on the MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360 is rated for 100,000 hours, or about 11 years of use. The pump is designed with ceramic bearings, has a speed of 4200 RPM and a measured noise level of only 18 dBA. It is powered by a 3-pin 12V DC connector, load current 0.34A or 4.08W (power consumption).
Placing the pump in a radiator also increases the life of the pump by moving it away from the heat source. The three-phase motor at the core of the pump produces minimal vibration for long-lasting performance.
MAG CORELIQUID P Series
In terms of compatibility, these CPU coolers are compatible with all current and latest generation sockets such as LGA 1150/1151/1155/1156/1200/1700, LGA 1366/2011/2011+3/2066 , AM4/FM2+/FM2/FM1, AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2 and TR4/STRX4, SP3.
The MAG CORELIQUID C Series and MAG CORELIQUID P Series products will be available soon. However, the detailed selling price for each product has not been disclosed yet.
