Instructions for registering a .bit account via Torus Wallet of Web3Auth

Step 1: Choose a login method

Sign in to Torus Wallet using Google, Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Apple ID, Github, LinkedIn, Twitter, Line, or the user’s email address. After successful login, Torus Wallet will automatically generate an ETH wallet address for the user.

Step 2: Deposit money into Torus Wallet

Click on the Torus icon in the bottom right corner of the page to open the Torus Wallet or go directly to Torus Wallet Management page.

Click “Top up” to enter the deposit page. Select the deposit method you want to use to buy some ETH.

Step 3: Come back .bit DApp and choose your favorite .bit account

Once you’ve made your deposit, come back .bit DApp, select your preferred account, select ETH payment and sign the transaction. Next, just wait for the transaction to be confirmed on-chain. This process takes about 5 minutes.

Once registered successfully, users can manage their .bit accounts in the “My”.

How to transfer chain on Torus Wallet?

.bit is a cross-bottle decentralized identity system in Web 3.0. The platform currently supports ETH, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Tron chains. Diverse payment methods including ETH, BNB, TRX, MATIC, CKB…

So, if the user wants to register .bit via BNB, the user can transfer the chain to the BNB Chain in the Torus Wallet and deposit the BNB into the user’s wallet. The conversion steps are as follows.

Click “Settings” to enter the settings page. In section “Network”switch to the chain the user wants to use.

After the chaining is done, just re-login the .bit DApp.
