‘Carved character’ of Toyota Fortuner revealed: Eye-catching design, extremely equipped

After more than four years, the Skoda Kodiaq finally received a mid-life update to give a fresh feel and upgrade to the powertrain. The new version of Skoda Kodiaq 2021 will be launched first in the Indian market.

Talking about the updates on the Skoda Kodiaq 2021, the first is the overhanged grille. The hood is redesigned while the headlights are tweaked to be thinner than before and utilize the matrix LED technology provided as an option. The changes not only made the design of the car more eye-catching, but also enhanced the aerodynamics of the past thanks to the new bumpers and the installation of a spoiler on the roof.

Not to stop there, the Skoda Kodiaq 2021 also has alloy wheels ranging in size from 17 to 20 inches, depending on the variant, and even these sets of wheels have been designed to reduce drag. Of course, the wheels on the sportier RS ​​version are made of the largest 20-inch polished alloy and are available in black.

The overall layout of the cabin has not changed, but the Skoda Kodiaq 2021 has a new 2-spoke steering wheel like on the Kushaq. An updated infotainment system with a 9.2-inch touchscreen display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a new massage chair will be optional.

The Skoda Kodiaq 2021 uses only gasoline dynamics, hence TSI only powertrain. The car uses a 2.0-liter TSI 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 190 hp and an optional 1.5-liter TSI engine with a capacity of around 148 hp. On the RS version, the manufacturer removed the twin-turbocharged engine and borrowed a 2.0-liter TSI engine from the Octavia RS that was tuned to produce 245 hp. All engine versions are mated to a reworked 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch) transmission as standard and a new powertrain makes the Kodiaq RS 2021 about 60 kg lighter than the old model.

Skoda Kodiaq will be a tough competitor for the Toyota Fortuner.
