Casio recently released the first Wear OS smartwatch in the G-Shock lineup, which is Casio’s most iconic lineup. This GSW-H1000 smart watch is sold for $ 699 in the US market.
The Casio GSW-H1000 is shock resistant and water resistant at a depth of 200m. Casio says the watch is designed for a variety of extreme sports activities, from surfing to skiing. It comes in red, blue and black.

This isn’t the first time Casio has launched a smartwatch. In 2016, Casio launched the Smart Outdoor Watch running Android Wear operating system. However, this is the first time Google’s operating system has appeared on a watch in the G-Shock lineup.

The GSW-H1000 is equipped with many features to expect on a sports smartwatch. It has an optical heart rate sensor, with Casio’s built-in software supporting 15 sports and 24 indoor workout options.

The watch has GPS support, built-in compass, altimeter, accelerometer and gyroscope. Wear OS has the Google Assistant virtual assistant, Google Fit tracking software, and you can download more apps from the Google Play Store.

In terms of hardware, the GSW-H1000 has a 1.2-inch 360×360-pixel dual-layer screen, a combination of a monochrome LCD screen always on top and a color LCD screen below. Battery life is rated to last a day and a half if you use the color display, and up to a month if you only use the monochrome display to see the time and the sensors.
G-Shock G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000.
Most of all, though, this is a smartwatch from Casio’s iconic G-Shock lineup. That alone is enough to attract users who already love this product line.
