Cheap competitor of 12.9-inch iPad Pro revealed, same price as Nokia T20, design catches Vietnamese customers’ hearts

Recently, Honor had a huge announcement party with a lot of products and a new Honor Pad 8 was among them. The new medium is a follow-up to last year’s Pad V7 and comes with a large 12-inch screen, dragon chips, and optional keyboard accessories but most importantly, cheap.

The screen of Honor Pad 8 is an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. There are small bezels from all sides that make the iPad Pro 12.9 look pretty much inferior. Comes with the device on the front has a 5 MP camera. There is another 5MP camera on the back.

Honor Pad 8 owns Snapdragon 680 chip, while RAM is 4GB, 6GB or 8GB. All three options come with 128 GB of internal storage. While Honor doesn’t say anything about a micro SD slot, we can be sad that there isn’t one.

According to the announcement, Honor Pad 8 is a multimedia entertainment device and Magic UI 6.1 supports split screen for more than 6,000 apps. There are also widgets, floating windows and the ability to link the tablet to some Honor smartphones.

Honor Pad 8 weighs only 520 grams with a slim 6.9 mm body. The USB-C port at the bottom is used to charge the 7,250 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging capacity.

Honor offers the Pad 8 in three colors – White, Blue, and Mint Green. Prices start at CNY1,499 (about 5.1 million VND) as cheap as the Nokia T20 tablet and much cheaper than Apple’s iPad Pro 12.9.
