Recently, the car company SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has officially launched the Wuling Air ev electric car model with a starting price of 9,700 USD (equivalent to 228 million VND). In the Chinese market, Wuling Air ev is called ‘晴空’ which means Clear Sky. Wuling Air ev is distributed in 4 versions and has a range of up to 300 km.

Built on the GSEV architecture, the Air ev comes in two- and four-seat versions. In terms of dimensions, the two-seat version of Wuling Air ev has detailed dimensions of length x width x height of 2599 x 1505 x 1631 mm respectively and a wheelbase of 1635 mm. On the other hand, the 4-seat version of Wuling Air ev has dimensions of length x width x height of 2974 x 1505 x 1631 mm respectively with a wheelbase of 2010 mm.

Inside the cabin, this model is equipped with dual 10.25-inch screens with Wuling’s own Ling operating system. In addition, Wuling has also developed an app so owners can check the vehicle’s condition, start the car remotely, and even perform various remote operations such as raising the windows or controlling the air conditioning. . Overall, the interior design of the Wuling Air ev is relatively simple.

Wuling Air ev is equipped with a 30 kW (40 hp) motor for the 2-seater and a 50 kW (68 hp) electric motor for the 4-seater. The above engine is combined with a lithium-iron-phosphate battery to help Wuling Air ev have a maximum speed of 100 km / h. Surprisingly the car supports DC fast charging and takes 45 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.

Since its launch, orders for Wuling Air ev have exceeded 4,000 units. As the company’s first global car, the Wuling Air ev will be exported to Egypt and India later this year, before landing in other international markets.
