Recently, iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo that focuses on low-cost smartphones with high configuration and integrated with many gaming features, has launched a new smartphone called iQOO Neo5. This is considered to be one of the gaming smartphones with the most reasonable price level performance as well as comes with many features to support the gaming experience that users can find in the market.
Due to being only distributed in the Chinese market, the current iQOO Neo5 has only “landed” on the Vietnamese market through portable products.
The box of iQOO Neo5 in particular and iQOO machines in general are designed with the main colors of gold and black.

Accessories come quite complete without any cuts, including Vivo’s 66W fast charger

A 66W USB-A to USB-C charger is included

One silicone case and one yellow iQOO Neo5 sticker

This is the iQOO Neo5. The version we have on hand is the dark blue version, the 8GB RAM, and the 128GB ROM

The back of the iQOO Neo5 is finished from a sanded glass material that is quite suitable for the hand and resists sweat and fingerprints (although sometimes still leaves stains, but quite easy to clean).

This back stands out with the main camera cluster placed in a rectangular module with a design quite similar to the camera on Vivo smartphones launched recently. The fee under this camera cluster is the logo “iQOO”

In terms of camera parameters, due to the smartphone line focusing on performance, the iQOO Neo5 does not have a main camera that is really invested. This camera cluster includes a 48MP f / 1.8 wide-angle camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a secondary 2MP depth-sensing camera. The machine still has a lot of shooting modes and the image quality is moderate

On the front, iQOO Neo5 is equipped with a 6.62-inch AMOLED E3 screen, Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

With a focus on gaming experience, iQOO Neo5’s display has a touch sampling frequency of 1000Hz with single touch and 300Hz with multi-touch. Overall this is a relatively quality screen, using a high-end AMOLED screen with high scanning frequency

The screen of iQOO Neo5 is a “mole” screen with a 16MP selfie camera placed in the center of the top edge of the screen. The selfie camera section is quite large in size, not as small as the selfie camera on the Redmi K40. The edge area next to the machine is also the place where the second speaker strip of the phone is placed

The bottom edge of the screen is still a bit thick in size, a common feature of most Android smartphones today

Due to the use of the AMOLED screen, the iQOO Neo5 is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Tested, this sensor for the opening speed is relatively fast and accurate

The bottom edge of the device is the location of the charging port, speaker strip and sim slot. The device supports 2 sim 2 waves, but due to the location of the voice mic and the sim hole is quite close, users should pay attention to avoid “poking” the wrong microphone, leading to failure of the phone function.

The scene should be where the power button and volume keys are located

The top edge is the second microphone of the machine. The entire frame is made from plastic material

In terms of performance, iQOO Neo5 is equipped with Snapdragon 870 chip, an upgraded version of Snapdragon 865, so most of the software that checks device information will only be Snapdragon 865.

Benchmarking with two performance testing software, AnTuTu Benchmark and Geekbench 5, the machine scored quite high.

In addition, there is another advantage of iQOO Neo5 announced by iQOO at the launch event that the company has applied a RAM management technology that allows users to use 8GB of RAM of the machine as 11GB of RAM. From what we can see, the working mechanism of this RAM management feature is quite similar to the RAM swap mechanism on PC / Laptop devices when using a part of storage as the place to store data. data in RAM (virtual RAM)

iQOO Neo5 is equipped with a 4400mAh battery, supports Vivo’s Superfast Flash Charge technology with a maximum capacity of 66W with the included charger, or up to 45W with PD technology and other standard PD chargers.

iQOO Neo5 runs on Android 11 with OriginOS for iQOO 1.0 interface, a brand new interface platform introduced by Vivo late last year to replace the old FunTouchOS interface. In addition, the machine also comes with many gaming features like Multi-Turbo 5.0

Due to the domestic version in China, the device will not have pre-installed Google services, so users who want to use will need to manually install Google Play and other services.

iQOO Neo5 is currently being sold in the Vietnamese market at a price of 9.99 million VND for the standard version of 8GB RAM and 128GB memory, about 1 million VND more expensive than the price in the Chinese market. This price competes directly with Redmi K40 (China) and POCO F2 (International) with the same hardware configuration.
