Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha has just launched a new 150cc FZ-X motorcycle model in the Indian market. This is the latest model to join Yamaha’s 150cc segment, including FZS FI, FZ FI, MT-15 and R15 V3.0. With the new Yamaha FZ-X, the Japanese automaker is aiming to strengthen its position in the competitive 150cc-200cc segment.
Yamaha FZ-X has 3 color options: Metallic, Blue, Matt Copper and Matt Black. The vehicle is offered in two variants: With and Without Bluetooth, priced at Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh, respectively.
Engine Specifications
Yamaha FZ-X is equipped with a 4-stroke, 149 cc, SOHC, air-cooled engine. This 2-valve Blue Core FI engine is capable of producing a maximum capacity of 12.4 hp at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 13.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 5-speed gearbox.
Yamaha’s Y-Connect App
The Yamaha FZ-X supports Bluetooth connectivity and receives a Communication Control Unit, compatible with Yamaha’s dedicated Y-Connect app. Using this app, the driver can check smartphone notifications via instrument panel icons, view maintenance recommendations, monitor parking location, monitor fuel consumption data, receive malfunction notifications, plus a unique feature – Revs Dashboard, which displays data such as engine rpm, throttle opening level, acceleration speed, eco-friendly driving indicators school…
