Recently, Baojun brand under General Motors Corporation (GM) has officially launched a new version of the low-cost electric car model KiWi EV 2023 in the Chinese market. KiWi EV 2023 is sold with prices ranging from 87,800 – 102,800 yuan (equivalent to 292 – 342 million VND). At this price, the KiWi EV 2023 is cheaper than the A-class car Kia Morning 2022 in the Vietnamese market.

In the 2023 version, the KiWi EV 2023 has no changes in the exterior design. However, this cheap car model has been added with new color options. KiWi EV 2023 has a compact size with a length x width x height of 2,894 x 1,655 x 1,595 mm and a wheelbase of 2,020 mm.

Although the price is cheaper than the Kia Morning 2022 Vietnamese version, the KiWi EV 2023 impresses with a series of modern equipment and features inside the cabin. Accordingly, the interior compartment of KiWi EV 2023 has 2 silver and black tones with impressive features such as 2 connected 10.25-inch screens, cup holders in between the 2 seats, 12V charging port below the control cluster. More specifically, the KiWi EV 2023 also has new DJI smart driving assist technology to help assist the driver while driving and parking.

Powering the KiWi EV 2023 is a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a capacity of 53 hp in the 2 low-end versions and 67 hp in the high-end version. According to the automaker, the KiWi EV 2023 can charge from 30% to 80% within 1 hour and has a range of up to 305 km in the 2 low-end versions and 301 km in the high-end versions.

Currently, KiWi EV 2023 is distributed exclusively for the Chinese market. The automaker also has no plans to expand the market for the 2023 KiWi EV in other regions. However, KiWi EV 2023 will certainly be a formidable opponent of names in the A-class car segment such as Hyundai Grand i10 or Kia Morning.
