MSI has just officially launched the Delta 15 and Alpha 15/17 gaming laptops (two 15-inch and 17-inch variants), belonging to the AMD Advantage product line. These are all very notable gaming laptops, carrying AMD’s popular Ryzen 5000 H-series mobile processors, accompanied by dedicated GPUs up to the AMD Radeon RX6700M series and especially the technology AMD’s proprietary RDNA 2 graphics processing technology. Each device has different sizes and designs, but all aim to give users the most complete gaming experience anytime, anywhere. Below is basic information about each model.

As the name suggests, the Delta 15 is a 15-inch gaming laptop, powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and an AMD Radeon RX6700M GPU. It is not difficult to see that MSI’s main goal is to create a gaming device that is highly portable, while still possessing a powerful configuration. That’s also why the Taiwanese manufacturer calls the Delta 15 “one of the thinnest and lightest AMD gaming laptops in the world today” – with a thickness of only 19mm and a weight of 1.9kg.

The outer shell of the Delta 15 is made from monolithic aluminum painted in Carbon gray, which feels quite luxurious, but is a bit “gentle” compared to the usual style on a gaming device. MSI confidently asserts that Delta 15 can give up to 12 hours of use with its built-in 4-cell battery, which is quite an impressive number, although in practice, it is difficult to achieve this level.

Responsible for the Delta 15’s display is a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS panel (optional), with a 240Hz refresh rate, support for AMD Radeon Anti-lag technology that greatly reduces input lag. to enter. Notably, this monitor also supports Radeon Image Sharpening technology, which restores clarity to images that have been reduced in detail by other effects. The thin screen border of only 5mm is also an important factor contributing to the aesthetics of the device.

In terms of input capabilities, Delta 15 has an independent numeric keypad, RGB backlit keyboard and hotkeys (or hot keys).

In the lower segment, Alpha 15 and 17 are also highly appreciated laptop models for a reasonable compromise between external form factors and internal power. Although both have different screen sizes, 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches respectively, they possess similar hardware power. Both are equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and AMD Radeon RX6600M graphics card, ensuring 1080p gaming at the highest settings. Comes with it is an IPS panel with 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Of course, these two monitors will also support AMD’s proprietary Radeon Image Sharpening and Radeon Anti-lag technologies.

Those are the biggest differences between Delta 15 and Alpha 15/17. In general, there are a few key aspects that users need to keep in mind as follows:

All 3 laptops are equipped with MSI’s exclusive Cooler Boost 5 cooling system, with specially designed heat pipes, which effectively reduce heat to the core, ensuring smooth gaming performance.

All three have storage options including dual M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSDs, accompanied by up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 MHz RAM into two slots for RAM expansion.

In terms of connectivity support, Delta 15 has 1 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C / DP port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and 2 USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports.
