Facebook Messenger can no longer recover messages, Vietnamese netizens are “frustrated”

On the afternoon of February 3, 2023, Vietnamese netizens were stirred by the news that Facebook Messenger no longer allows users to withdraw sent messages.

Specifically, many users said that although they can choose “Recall message”, the message is not actually lost on the other side, still displayed as at the beginning.

In fact, the Remove option is still available in Messenger’s chat window with two options, Unsend and Remove for you.

However, now the option “Delete with me only” is active, while the Recall function cannot be performed. Even phones and tablets updating to the latest version of Messenger also encounter this situation.

Previously, the message recall feature was highly appreciated by the online community because sometimes users who sent messages with mistaken or misspelled content could press the recall button to edit and send new messages. . Therefore, the disappearance of Messenger’s recall feature made many users disappointed.

Besides many complaints, people also believe that the failure to recover messages will help users be more careful when texting with friends, especially business transactions through Messenger.

Currently, it is not clear whether this is just a bug or the Unsend feature has really disappeared. However, it is not ruled out that this is a bug of Messenger, as there is no mention on Facebook’s information page about removing this feature.
