However, the company has denied reports that it is opening a store in the metaverse, with an H&M spokesperson clarifying:
“We would like to confirm that H&M is not opening a metaverse store at this time.”
The source of the misinformation also points out that customers will be able to interact through the store, choose the products they want, and buy them in the Ceek City universe. Additionally, they can order clothing seen in H&M’s metaverse store from the company’s physical stores later. All payments are made with CEEK VR (CEEK) tokens.
Rumors of H&M opening a store in the metaverse arose after a post on Ceek’s official account on December 7, 2020. The company said it had created a “VR store” to showcase. for H&M. However, an H&M spokesperson continued:
“We don’t work with Ceek either.”
The official Ceek account later clarified that the H&M store in the Ceek world was just a concept introduced to H&M and not yet an actual virtual store. The development team is still in discussions with everyone at H&M to make this a reality, but right now this is not a surefire partnership.
Hi Ceekers🤩 As stated in post below, the @hm store in the #Ceek #metaverse was just a concept that was presented to H&M and not an actual virtual store yet. We are in discussions with people at H&M to make this a reality, but this is not something that’s a reality as of now. https://t.co/TEmNpoF0Ki

However, the above event is not uncommon in the cryptocurrency market. The problem of falsifying or falsifying information has gradually become common, and the most disadvantaged are investors. It can be mentioned the case of Litecoin (LTC) “pump and dump” because fake news cooperated with Walmart, causing the founder of Litecoin to officially speak up as well as Ripple being “fake news” that the SEC had withdrawn the lawsuit.
Thankfully, the CEEK price during the incident was not significantly impacted. Currently, CEEK is trading around $0.69.
