HAPathon 2023 – Web3 Global Startup Competition

PlatON, together with partners Alibaba Cloud and HashKey Group, will host “HAPathon 2023”, a Web3 Global Startup Competition to be held from March to April 2023 in four major cities in Asia — Singapore, Bangkok , Tokyo and Hong Kong, where the Finals will take place. The event is expected to have more than 1,000 participants from around the world, most of which are developers and founders from startups in the Web3 community and ecosystem.

Each venue will be a two-day offline competition, requiring contestants to present projects they have developed to a panel of professional judges. The competition aims to provide global Web3 developers with a platform to showcase their acumen, innovation, and ability to turn their creativity and entrepreneurial sense into real-world applications in a unique way. in three topics: Technical Infrastructure, Financial Services Infrastructure, and Innovative Applications and Web3 Tools. The total prize value for the Contest is up to 400,000 USD.

Timelines in the “HAPathon” event:

• Competition in Singapore: 18-19 March 2023 (Registration deadline: 12/3/2023)
• Competition in Bangkok: March 25–26, 2023 (Registration deadline: March 19, 2023)
• Competition in Tokyo: April 1–2, 2023 (Registration deadline: March 26, 2023)
• Competition in Hong Kong (Final): 8–9 April 2023 (Registration deadline: 2 April 2023)

The contest is one of the Initiatives in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in November 2022 between the three parties. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to explore potential collaborations on various projects, including co-developing and supporting technology and infrastructure platforms for developers in the Web3 space, such as such as cloud computing and Web 3.0 multi-chain infrastructure to build various Web 3.0 applications and protocols in gaming, social media, and Metaverse…
