(CHK) Honda Vietnam Company (HVN) deploys a recall campaign expected from October 5, 2022 to replace the driver’s seat cushion frame of Honda CIVIC and Honda HR-V vehicles manufactured in 2022 due to HVN imported from Thailand.
The models involved in this recall are as follows:
The recall campaign was carried out to fix the weld on the driver’s seat adjustment slider. In the event of a collision, the driver’s seat can not be fixed in the correct position when driving, leading to the driver’s seat belt not working properly.
All owners of the affected vehicles will be notified of details regarding the recall campaign by Honda Automotive Distributors via handmail/e-mail/phone directly based on owner information. Ownership of the vehicle registered on HVN’s customer management system.
Although no safety incidents have been recorded in the Vietnamese market due to the above phenomenon, but HVN also recommends that customers with recalled vehicles contact a Honda Automobile Distributor to schedule an appointment. Check and replace the standard driver seat cushion frame.
The cost for inspection and replacement of affected parts will be covered by HVN. For vehicles imported through non-genuine import establishments, in case customers bring their cars to Honda Automobile Distributors, HVN is still willing to help check relevant information.
