Honda Vision’s new rival launched for only 24 million VND, ready to overthrow ‘Tieu SH’

Electric scooter company eBikeGo has recently launched a new electric motorcycle model eBikeGo Rugged in the Indian market. The eBikeGo Rugged electric scooter has two variants, G1 and G1+, priced at Rs 79,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively (equivalent to about 24 – 30 million Vietnamese Dong).

According to the manufacturer’s statement, the eBikeGo Rugged offers a range of 160 km on a full charge and has a top speed of 70 km/h. The manufacturer claims that the price of the Rugged electric car will be significantly low with the added benefits of state government subsidies. The vehicle is integrated with an advanced IoT (Internet Of Things) system with 4G and two replaceable 1.9 kWh batteries.

The two batteries of the eBikeGo Rugged can be charged in just 3.5 hours and provide a range of 160 km. The eBikeGo Rugged e-scooter has a 3kW (approximately 4hp) electric motor, allowing the scooter to reach a top speed of 70 km/h. Pre-orders for the new Rugged electric scooter have begun, and deliveries will be from November this year.

The eBikeGo Rugged electric motorcycle uses 14-inch wheels. The vehicle is equipped with intelligent vehicle monitoring through a dedicated application, OTA (over-the-air) updates, vehicle navigation and positioning features. The Rugged e-scooter comes with 4-point adjustable front and rear shock absorbers.

Speaking during the launch, Irfan Khan – Founder & CEO of eBikeGo said: “We are extremely excited to announce the launch of ‘Rugged’, the intelligent, durable electric motorcycle. and most certainly of India. Customers have the option to switch between batteries without getting off the vehicle, and it comes with an advanced two-wheeler IoT system. The vehicle is based on a pram frame with steel outside. eBikeGo Rugged will be manufactured in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in partnership with Boom Motors. The eBikeGo company has announced the introduction of more than 3,000 charging stations. Vehicles are covered by a 3-year and 20,000 km warranty, battery and charger, and extended warranty.

With a cheap price, eBikeGo Rugged will certainly be chosen by many consumers who care about the environment to replace gasoline-powered scooters like Honda Vision – a model dubbed “Tieu SH”.
