Hyundai Venue 2023 launched with a price of only 219 million VND, making Kia Sonet “crazy”

Hyundai has officially introduced the new 2023 Hyundai Venue model in the Indian market with a more powerful diesel engine and a list of features that also have quite noticeable changes. The new Hyundai Venue 2023 will be priced from Rs 7.68 lakh (about VND 219 million) to Rs 13.11 lakh (about VND 375 million). The most important update on the new version of the “shared wheel” model with Kia Sonet is the upgraded 1.5L 4-cylinder CRDi turbo diesel engine.

This engine now produces a maximum power of 115 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm and is compliant with the new RDE Real Driving Emissions Test Procedure. The engine on the Hyundai Venue 2023 is only linked to the 6-speed manual transmission option.

In addition to Kia Sonet, the new 2023 Hyundai Venue model will continue to compete with Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger,… In which, Tata Nexon is the first model in the segment. The segment uses a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a capacity of 110 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Therefore, the updated diesel engine in the Venue will help Kia Sonet’s great rival take on the diesel-powered Tata Nexon.

From the mid-level S(O) variant onwards, the 2023 Hyundai Venue now has an additional side airbag, previously available in the top-end SX(O) version. The list of safety features will include ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSC (Vehicle Stability Management), HAC (Downhill Assist Control) and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).

Other highlights on Kia Sonet’s “rivalry” model are automatic headlights, engine encryption, burglar alarm, parking sensors and reversing camera with dynamic guidance. Inside, the diesel Hyundai Venue 2023 SX version has some features that have been removed such as armrests with cup holders and backrest seats. These will currently only be available in the top-end SX(O).

Besides these updates, everything else remains unchanged, Hyundai Venue 2023 continues to have the option of 1.2L Kappa petrol engine and 1.0L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
