(CHK) Apple’s supply partner TCSM is said to have started production of a processor for the next iPhone called A15.

New news from the electronics supply chain says that microprocessor maker TSMC has begun production of a product line for the “iPhone 13”. Most likely this is a mass-produced product before the expected September 2021 launch, but that has not been confirmed.

“TSMC has begun production of Apple’s next-generation iPhone processor called the A15 and will see demand for the chip outstrip last year’s version of the chip, according to industry sources.” .” – Digitimes reported.

According to Digitimes, at least initial production has begun, and the new “A15” processor is expected to be produced in larger volumes than the iPhone 12’s A14 Bionic.

The news that TSMC has started producing new chips for the iPhone 13 is in line with the previous prediction of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In December last year, “divine” revealed that TSMC plans to reduce the production of iPhone 12 processors and suggested that it was a preparation step for the transition to “iPhone 13”.

Last year’s iPhone 12 was delayed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The fact that the “A15” chip has started production could be a sign that the iPhone 13 can launch normally in September as before.
