Skoda Octavia RS245 – the Czech automaker’s performance-oriented sedan is likely to get a new generation update in the Indian market next year. Similar to the current generation, the new generation of Octavia RS245 will be brought into India via complete import and retailed in limited quantities. Notable changes have been made to both the exterior and interior of this model. Under the hood, the new Skoda Octavia RS245 2022 (specs in India) will use a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine for a maximum capacity of 245 horsepower and 370Nm.

To perform transmission duties, the Skoda Octavia RS245 2022 will have a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and will come with an FWD (front-wheel drive) system. Globally, the new Octavia RS245 is offered with three powertrains – 245 hp (2.0L turbo petrol), 200 hp (2.0L diesel) and 1.4L petrol with a hybrid system. Compared to the previous diesel model, the new engine is 16 hp more powerful. The turbo hybrid setup offers a combined output of 241 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

The new Skoda Octavia RS 245 2022 comes with Dynamic Chassis Control along with a custom suspension and steering setup. Features such as larger brakes and lower travel height enhance the vehicle’s performance.

On the surface, the Skoda Octavia RS245 2022 looks sportier than before. The black treatment on the front grille, rearview mirror, diffuser and rear trunk spoiler further complements the revised look of the car. The front bumper and fog lights have also been redesigned. Other design highlights include sleek LED headlights, black side skirts, black hood, black alloy wheels and smokey LED taillights. There are ‘VRS’ badging on the front grille and tailgate painted in black.

Unlike the regular model, the new Skoda Octavia RS 245 2022 has a two-tone interior theme with contrasting stitching.
