If you are thinking of creating content on Facebook and Instagram and trying to monetize it, now is the best time to do it.

According to PhoneArena, Mark Zuckerberg just announced in a Facebook post some of the upcoming improvements for creators on Facebook and Instagram as below.

Facebook and Instagram won’t cut creator revenue until 2024

The best thing that Mark Zuckerberg has announced is probably that Meta won’t cut creator revenue until 2024. Previously, the end of that period was set in 2023, after which Meta projected Ants will share a number of content creators. But it looks like this period is currently (luckily for creators) being extended by a year.

More ways to monetize content

The Facebook boss has also announced other monetization updates coming to the two social networking platforms. Users can monetize these platforms with paid events, badges and other methods, but now users can also create paid Facebook groups for their most dedicated followers .

On top of that, Meta will extend the bounty for creating Popular Stories (short Instagram videos) and you can also post Stories on Facebook and monetize them there.

Facebook Stars, a user-funded method of gifting content creators, will also be expanded to more eligible creators.

But that’s not all. Mark Zuckerberg also said the company is currently working on the creator market. This will be a stable place on Instagram where creators can be discovered and paid, and provide an opportunity for advertisers and brands to collaborate.

NFT and problems

And last but not least, the Facebook boss also talks about digital collections. Essentially, Meta is running a test right now that allows creators to display their NFTs on Instagram (essentially, NFTs are digital assets that represent real-life things,

Such as digital art, GIFs, videos that you can buy with bitcoin, pretty much all) and now this experiment will extend to more creators. NFTs will also be tested with a small group of US creators on Facebook, and they will be able to be cross-posted on Insta and Facebook.
