The latest version of the Mitsubishi Outlander C-class SUV has been completely “makeover” by the manufacturer with a sporty body kit according to the Vision Ralliart Concept. The changes of the car include 6-piston brakes, exclusive 22-inch wheels, the upper half of the fake radiator is placed on the thick air cavity, the wheel arches and the wider sidewalls. In particular, only a pair of 6-piston brakes are equipped to improve Outlander’s performance.

Mitsubishi Outlander Ralliart Style is basically just a “tuned” Outlander with a red decal pasted on the Outlander hybrid version with a new fender. However, refreshing the appearance is enough to help this model attract attention, thereby increasing its competitiveness with rivals such as Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson or Honda CR-V.

In addition to Mitsubishi Outlander, Eclipse Cross is also another Mitsubishi SUV model “upgraded” in this way. Even the Delica D:5 minivan also has its own sports version called Tough x Tough. However, this model is much more unusual when equipped with an enhanced suspension to increase ground clearance, rear bumper protection frame, fenders, plastic wheel arches and multi-terrain tires with 16-inch wheels.

The final two products to be changed were an all-electric kei model called the Minicab-MiEV B-Leisure Style and the K-EV X Style, in which a line of vehicles was co-developed with partner Nissan. It can be said that since bringing back the Ralliart sub-brand, Mitsubishi has not taken advantage of this name for any “complete” projects like the way Toyota exploits the GR / GR Sport.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 takes place from January 14 to January 16, 2022.
