Referring to active noise-canceling TWS headphones, many people will think of AirPods Pro or Galaxy Buds Pro – high-end wireless headphones with the original price of 5-6 million dong.

However, in the segment of less than 2 million VND, Huawei can still launch the Freebuds 4i wireless headset model with this feature. There are also other notable things like battery life up to 10 hours individually, fast charging and compact design fit the ear.

Rarely does a TWS headset cost less than 2 million and incorporate many advanced features such as the Freebuds 4i.

So, are those features just “delicious” on the ad? We have a hands-on experience and here is the answer:

Noise canceling, stable, clear crosstalk

The first thing we have to emphasize is that the Freebuds 4i’s noise-canceling capabilities are (of course) less obvious than the high-end lines of Apple, Samsung or Huawei’s Freebuds Pro. However, it is only slightly inferior to the Sony WF-1000XM3, which used to be the “leader” in the active noise-canceling TWS headset village.

Thanks to the intelligently positioned microphone system in the earcup, the Freebuds 4i filters out low-pitched noise without being blown away by the wind.

Exactly, the Freebuds 4i can cut most of the low noise like traffic on the street, the fan from the air conditioning system … The voice and the click of the keyboard of the people around can only cut a little, the part Big is due to the use of in-ear design with discreet rubber buttons. Overall, at $ 1.99 million (without promotion), it’s still hard to find other wireless headphones with similar performance unless you buy second hand.

In addition to noise cancellation, Huawei has added a feature called “Recognition” (or understandably, it is X-ray on other headphones). Although there are not many tweaks like high-end machines, but still enough to clearly hear important background sounds like the voices of others.

Battery life is too “good”

The volume of the headset is quite loud, so usually you only need to turn on the level of 50% – 60% is enough to hear at home or in crowded places. At this time, the headphones can be used for about 8 – 10 hours in a row if the noise canceling is turned off. When turned on, the number drops to about 6-7 hours, lower than advertised but negligible, and almost superior to most other noise-canceling TWS headsets on the market, including the high-end line. level.

The charging box can only fill 2 times for the headset, but each time using separate 9-10 hours is too “terrible”.

Combined with the charging box, you will have about 20 hours of continuous listening to music, using normally it takes 3-4 days to need to plug it in once. In addition, the fast charging feature is also a big plus for those who are busy, only need to charge 10 minutes to get 3 – 4 hours of use.

Beautifully designed, but not perfect

Freebuds 4i looks nothing special in appearance, still in-ear style with long ear stalks, touch buttons like many other headphones. In return is the feeling of extremely comfortable wearing. Because of the extra stalk, the ear size is spread evenly, the housing part is small enough to wear even with small female friends. Of course, except for those who have “difficult” ears, no matter what type of in-ear they are wearing.

The lacquered tank is only beautiful on the photo, but very quickly dirty and scratched in actual use.

The biggest minus point of the Freebuds 4i turns out to be the case is too glossy, easy to stick to fingerprints, and easy to scratch. If you are afraid of this item, you should consider buying the white or red color to avoid the exposure, but the black version looks quite rusty after a short time of use.

Also because it is slippery, the headset is quite difficult to take out of the charging box. If you sweat a lot, you will “stop it”.

Another thing we have seen when using the Freebuds 4i is that the two headphones are quite difficult to take out of the charging case. Because the shell is smooth, the design lacks the fulcrum and the suction magnet is a bit too strong, so sometimes it is difficult to hook it out.

Comfortable soft earplugs but a bit thin, pulled out of the ear or upside down like this is quite uncomfortable.

Sound quality has been garbled?

The answer is no. Quite praising Huawei for being good, but still determined to invest in sound quality for the Freebuds 4i.

Quite praising the Huawei team for “preserving” the sound quality on the Freebuds 4i.

In fact, its sound quality is only moderate, strongly biased towards V-Shape that Huawei advertises as “vibrant”. The bass pushes up at a moderate level, powerful enough but not tired of listening to a lot. Treble is also emphasized but not much and does not “crush” the mid range, helping the singer’s voice still be clear enough, emerging on the music background, not “drowning” like many other “vibrant” headphones.

Is it worth the price of 1.99 million dong?

Extremely worth the money is the other. If you are looking to experience active noise cancellation but barely allow you to buy AirPods Pro, Galaxy Buds Pro or WF1000XM3, the Freebuds 4i is the most valuable choice, especially during the sale because it is still available. give gifts and subtract 300,000 VND directly from the selling price.
