(CHK) Although not in the top of the largest Android smartphone manufacturers, Nokia will still participate in the latest Android 13 testing program to not be left behind.

Google held an event #GoogleIO2022 and announced that the Android 13 beta version of its future operating system is available for download. Google is also very kind and lists all the brands that are participating in the Beta Test program. The good news is that Nokia is back on the show once again with brands like Xiaimi, Oppo, Vivo, Asus, and yes, even Sharp.

To get Android 13, you need to go to Nokia’s dedicated page and follow the instructions. The update can be downloaded OTA via the My Phone app, but it’s likely that in some markets and models it won’t be available. For now, the developer preview will be available for the Nokia X20 soon according to HMD’s press release.

On the sidelines of the Google event, the most exciting part of the event was the announcement of Google gadgets that look like a comprehensive portfolio. Having a beautiful and efficient phone, stylish headphones, watch and tablet, all you really need today.

Many users now wish Nokia Mobile could take a Google-like approach and create products that are mid-range in terms of hardware and price. However, we have a cute little tablet, an audio accessory for every wallet, smartphone, and the only thing missing is a smartwatch.

Nokia Mobile is quite slow in bringing Android 11 to its devices. The main reason for that is that the company did not participate in the Android 11 developer preview program.

This allows them to work faster on updates. Nokia phones have been put to the Android 12 beta test and that’s why the next major OS update is somewhat faster for the latest models.
