OPPO Pad 2 may launch with Snapdragon 888 chip, larger screen 11 inches

After launching the OPPO Pad last year, the Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to unveil the successor to the OPPO Pad 2 in the coming months. However, recently, the upcoming tablet has appeared on the Geekbench platform, suggesting that the OPPO Pad 2 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Previously, the OPPO Pad debuted with the chipset. Snapdragon 870 and OPPO Pad Air come with Snapdragon 680 chipset.

Both Geekbench 5 and Geekbench 6 show the device with various single and multi-core scores. On Geekbench 5, OPPO Pad 2 received 3079 multi-core points and 899 single-core points. It achieved a score of 3186 in the multi-core test and 1160 in the single-core test on Geekbench 6.

The Geekbench listing, originally spotted by GoAndroid, suggests that the OPPO Pad 2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Octa-Core chipset, clocked at 2.84GHz and come with 7.34GB of RAM. It seems that OPPO Pad 2 will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset or Snapdragon 768 chipset and run Android 13 operating system.

Expected specifications of OPPO Pad 2

The OPPO Pad 2 is expected to have a larger screen than the 11-inch screen seen on its predecessor. The source says the display will have an HDR10+ resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels and will support a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The tablet can also be equipped with a 9,500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. In terms of price, OPPO Pad 2 is expected to cost between Rs 20,000 – 25,000 (about 5.7 million – 7.2 million).
