Quang Trung Software Park (QTSC) was established on March 16, 2001 in Tan Chanh Hiep Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, about 15 km from the city center. QTSC is designed in the direction of software city model on a total area of 43ha. This is the first and largest software park in Vietnam.
After 20 years of operation, up to now, QTSC has become a software park (CVPM) with infrastructure on par with Asia with 165 IT enterprises (52 foreign enterprises and 113 domestic enterprises) in the world. There are 6 enterprises with a scale of over 1,000 people with 650 products and solutions.
In 2017, Quang Trung Software Park was ranked third among eight typical technology parks in Asia by international consulting organization KPMG in terms of operational efficiency and fourth in terms of scale and operating efficiency of enterprises. .
Since 2016, QTSC has built IoT technology applications to serve monitoring, management and operation of the whole area. By 2018 QTSC had integrated these applications on a single platform QTSC IOC (Integrated Operation Center). In June 2018, QTSC was certified as a Science and Technology Enterprise. This is the first state-owned enterprise in Ho Chi Minh City to achieve this achievement.
In June 2019, QTSC was honored to win the second prize of the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award with the QTSC IOC application.
These activities contribute to helping QTSC become a smarter software city.
QTSC has also implemented the construction of the QTSC R&D Labs area to create a space for research and development of products and solutions in the centralized IT zone and deployed an experimental zone for IT application in agriculture with many new models such as growing vegetables hydroponics, growing vegetables in containers, sowing robots… QTSC’s goal is to provide solutions, a closed cycle for farmers, and upgrade this model into a smart village (Smart Village).
QTSC aims to be a Software Park of technology stature, towards a model of green, smart city and become a leading software city in Asia.
