In the segment of smartphones priced below 2 million VND, the king is identified as Xiaomi Redmi 9A. This is thanks to good hardware while only cockroaches sell for about 1.84 million dong. However, if you add more than 500 thousand VND, you can reach Redmi 9C – a smartphone that is much better than 9A and stands out in the smartphone segment under 3 million.

Design

Xiaomi Redmi 9C shares the same design with 9A. Users easily notice that it has a hard plastic back cover with anti-fouling ridges and increased certainty in the hand. The cluster of three square cameras is located in the prominent left corner. Meanwhile, the circular fingerprint sensor still appears on the back.

The power button and volume rocker are located on the right edge. On the opposite side, there is a dual nano-SIM card slot and a memory card up to 512 GB. This is not a hybrid slot and each slot can be used at the same time. A 3.5mm audio jack has been installed at the top of the machine. And finally, at the bottom there is a Micro USB port for charging, a microphone jack and the main speaker.

Screen

Redmi 9C owns a large 6.53-inch screen with HD + resolution (1600 x 720 pixels). The screen presents quite rich and bright colors.

Even in sunny weather, the screen’s brightness is sufficient for comfortable reading. Redmi 9C gets stats like 70.8% NTSC and 1500:1 contrast ratio. In addition, the smartphone has a bunch of settings where you can choose blue-eye protection and reading mode. These are all better points than Redmi 9A.

Performance

Redmi 9C uses a pretty healthy operating system interface. It is built on Android 10 with MiUI user interface. The user interface is very fast and without any delay. Every app opens quickly and swipes are smooth and without jerking.

Redmi 9C is equipped with Helio G35 processor. This is an octa-core chip with a maximum clock speed of 2.3 GHz. The chip also works with the PowerVR8320 graphics accelerator.

If used for gaming, Redmi 9C runs even the hardest and heaviest games, but let’s not forget that this is a budget smartphone and it usually does not perform too well with games for long periods of time. Not to mention the graphics settings are also low and the game loading speed will also take a long time.

When buying the device, users have two options of 2 or 3 GB RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory. Where the 2/32 GB version and it will be enough for everyday tasks. In addition, the smartphone receives a separate memory card slot that allows capacity expansion up to 512 GB.

Another important feature is the presence of an NFC module. In addition, Redmi 9C gets dual ac Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth 5.0 and supports accurate and fast GPS signal.

Camera

The triple camera on Redmi 9C is real and each sensor works perfectly. The main module has a resolution of 13 megapixels and it gives good image quality during the day. The second and third modules have a resolution of 2 megapixels for macro and bokeh photography. Of course, the results of the macro photos are not the best, but the portraits are not too bad.

Battery life

Redmi 9C has a battery capacity of 5000mAh. Considering the screen resolution is only 720p, the power consumption will be very low when used. In addition, the new and modern processor from MediaTek shows good power consumption.

Actual testing shows that Redmi 9C has consumed about 9% of battery when watching Youtube videos at full brightness for an hour. The reduction is very impressive. Overall, two full days for the Redmi 9C won’t be a problem.

However, users may not be satisfied with the charging time. With the included 10W charger, it will take you up to 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

summary

The main advantage of the inexpensive Redmi 9C is the presence of an NFC module. This is a really big leap that will help put smartphones in the low-end and even higher segments.

The other features aren’t bad either, for a cheap smartphone – big and bright screen, modern processor and large battery capacity. The main downside of Redmi 9C is that it uses a rather outdated Micro USB port and a long rechargeable battery.
