Samsung’s stable updates to Android 12-based One UI 4 for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 series were halted last week due to compatibility issues with Google Play.

Now, about five days later, the issues appear to have been resolved through working with Google over the holidays, as the rollouts have finally restarted.

There is a new build doing the rounds and this is labeled G99xBXXS3BULC for S21 models (where “x” is a variable number depending on the device you have). The Korean variant has G99xNKSS3BULC. On the other hand, the new build for Flip3 is F711xxxS2BUL6, while Fold3 has F926xxxS1BUL6 (here the “xxx” part varies by region).

If you have one of these devices, you can check for the update manually and you might be in luck. As usual, carrier-specific models may be slower than unlocked models.

The new One UI 4 based on Android 12 is one of Samsung’s biggest ever interface updates. In it, Samsung focuses a lot on changing widgets, icon system and adding new emoticons.

Besides, the new OneUI 4.0 can adjust the size of the picture-in-picture window. The Quick Panel has also been rearranged. Another useful addition is the ability to control your audio source from the lock screen. OneUI 4.0 also adds more privacy when the apps that use the camera are monitored and notified to users.

Currently, only Samsung’s most high-end smartphones have been updated with the new OneUI. More advanced smartphone models may have to wait a little longer – maybe until 2022 to be able to experience One UI 4.
