Today, Samsung has officially confirmed the launch date and some features of the Galaxy F14, the low-cost phone that many people have been waiting for recently.
The Galaxy F14 will be the only phone in the segment with a 5nm chipset. The new Exynos 1330 chip has been used in the Galaxy M14 and Galaxy A14, supporting faster 5G connectivity. The phone also has up to 6GB of real RAM and up to 6GB of virtual RAM.
The Galaxy F14 will receive 2 OS updates and 4 years of security patches, just like the Galaxy A14. While not as much as the higher-end A-series phones, it’s still appreciated for this price. The phone also runs One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.
Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy F14 will have a screen size of 6.6 inches, FHD + resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The company has not mentioned the refresh rate but we speculate it will be 90Hz like screen of Galaxy M14.
An upgrade point compared to the Galaxy M14 is that the 6,000 mAh battery of the Galaxy F14 will be charged at 25W (up from 15W). There is no information about the camera cluster, but the Galaxy M14 has a 50MP main camera on the back and a 13MP selfie camera on the front, so it is possible that the Galaxy F14 also has a similar camera setup. The phone will launch with 3 color options: black, green and purple.
