Samsung 837X will be open in Decentraland for a limited time. Throughout 2022, the company intends to bring the experience to more people by launching a multiverse approach on new platforms. Michelle Crossan-Matos, Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Samsung Electronics USA, said:
“At Samsung 837X, we’re excited to tell our stories of connectivity, sustainability, and customizability in a novel way. Metaverse allows us to transcend physical and spatial limitations to create unique virtual experiences.”
The Samsung 837X Store will offer digital adventures through three main themes of “Connected Stage” and “Unique Forest” and a musical celebration at “Custom Stage”. The Connect Stage will showcase Samsung news from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which kicks off on January 5 and runs through January 8.
The unique forest allows guests to have an immersive experience through millions of digital trees. Inspired by the relationship between Samsung and Veritree, a blockchain platform powered by Cardano to combat the adverse effects of climate change, aiming to manage the planting of two million trees in Madagascar by first quarter of this year.
Veritree operates a “Cardano Forest” where users can donate 15 ADA or more to receive tree tokens. Then, Veritree planted a tree on behalf of the users for each ADA exchanged. Tree tokens can be used for limited edition tree NFTs.
For the custom stage in the 837X store, guests will experience a mixed reality live dance party hosted by DJ Gamma Vibes from the actual Samsung 837 store. At the same time, they also have the opportunity to receive many valuable NFT rewards from this event.
