Theta Network (THETA) will release the Galaxy NFT as part of a new development effort to provide Samsung users with more innovative experiences across the company’s smartphone lineup.
On August 8, Samsung Electronics signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with partners, including Theta Labs, to operate the NFT ecosystem for its new Galaxy mobile phones.

“Over 100,000 NFT holders can use their Theta NFT online and offline through ThetaPass technology. This is just the beginning and we will continue to expand the reach and utility of our retail and e-commerce stores to expand the benefits for Samsung NFT owners.”
The move is part of Samsung’s NFT-connected consumer experience innovation campaign. The company intends to use NFT as a vehicle to bring practical benefits to customers. Details will be confirmed at the new product launch scheduled for August 10.
At this event, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold 4, which is said to have an improved hinge design, thinner structure and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus with 4 nanometer processing technology. Theta Labs’ role is to release the Galaxy NFT, while NFC payment solutions company Allink provides authentication services.
But this is not the first time Theta Network and Samsung have teamed up. The two collaborated on an NFT project in February 2022 to celebrate the launch of Galaxy S22 and S8 Tablets. Buyers who pre-order the above models in South Korea can claim the NFT for free by registering on Theta Network’s NFT marketplace ThetaDrop.
In 2018, Theta Labs successfully integrated test SamsungVR to provide users with the smoothest experience during video viewing.

Besides Samsung, about two months ago, Theta also joined forces with Japanese technology giant Sony, helping the company release NFT 3D compatible with 4K SRD displays.
Regarding Samsung, the company is showing its huge ambitions in the crypto game. Earlier this year, Samsung surprised the community by building a virtual store in Decentraland (MANA), which has become one of the main promotional venues for the Galaxy S22 product launch event.
Not stopping there, Samsung also partnered with Nifty Gateway to develop the industry’s first smart NFT TV platform, listed Asia’s first blockchain ETF in Hong Kong, launched a Discord server dedicated to Web3 , launch the Samsung Wallet digital wallet application and get ready to “join the war” in the cryptocurrency mining industry when it comes to producing Bitcoin mining chips.
