Artist Justin Bateman from the UK has created impressive works of art made from thousands of colorful pebbles.

At first glance at Justin Bateman’s art paintings, few people know that this artist has spent many hours meticulously, skillfully arranging colorful pebbles to create works of art.

What’s even more impressive is that Bateman’s works are often done on beaches, meaning they are short-lived.

Bateman shared: “In the beginning it was hard to destroy a work when I spent so many hours creating it. But the impermanent aspect of work is very important to me. I can create works that last forever but work is work. It doesn’t always last. It’s like the seasons. I like the natural environment so I wanted to remove any signs of my presence when I left the venue.”

Justin’s masterpieces range in size from 1m² to 10m² and usually take days to weeks to complete. Bateman will have to concentrate as much as possible during the completion of the work.

The British artist has been creating impressive cobblestone mosaics around the world, from the beaches of Portsmouth to Bali and Bangkok. He also regularly shares his projects with people via the Internet and receives a lot of positive feedback from viewers.

Bateman shared: “I create works in the woods, on the beach and even in parking lots! In Bangkok, I used stones on a railway line. I make full use of each stage from finding cobblestones to planning. plan, select the subject, locate the environment, start creating art, photograph the result and respond to the fans”.

Inspiration for these amazing cobblestone mosaics ranges from classical paintings to social and political and cultural and religious themes.
