A VinFast VF 5 (probably VF 5 Plus) was seen testing in the factory premises. It is not clear if this is the commercial version that will be delivered to customers in April.

The car revealed this time shows a new set of wheels, which are smaller in size and have a different design from the concept. In addition, sometimes when looking at the hip, some differences can be noticed in the angle of the A-pillar and the rearview mirror. The wheel arches have also been redesigned with a matte black plastic rim. Most of the details are similar to the graphic image of VF 5 on VinFast’s website.

At the rear, the taillights have also changed the look inside. The reverse light is located below and only on the right side, while the left is most likely a fog light. This familiar “deviation” lamp design is easy to see on some cars sold in Vietnam such as Mazda6 or Hyundai Kona. Compared to the concept version, this car also has the words VINFAST on the rear trunk. The rear of the car has the letters VF 5 and does not indicate the version.

Before that, another VinFast VF 5 was also seen in the factory, but there were some differences such as the wheels and white paint on the exterior.

Thus, it can be predicted that VinFast VF 5 (or VF 5 Plus) when handed over to customers will have a few points different from the concept version. However, the overall design of the car remains unchanged.

VinFast VF 5 Plus was officially opened for sale in early December 2022. The announced price of the car at that time was 458 million dong excluding the battery and 538 million dong with the battery. After deducting the promotion, early buyers with a deposit of 20 million will only need to pay 428 million to buy a car. Those who deposit 10 million in advance will buy a car for 438 million. Battery rental fee is 1.6 million VND/month.

VF 5 or VF 5 Plus is a A-size SUV in the segment of Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet. The biggest difference of the VF 5 is the fully electric motor. This 100 kW motor comes with a 27.23 kWh battery, allowing it to travel up to more than 300 km on a single NEDC charge.
