Sony scheduled the event to launch the Xperia 1 III 5G high-end smartphone

Previously, Sony often launched new smartphones at the MWC Barcelona event at the end of February. But the effects of the epidemic have temporarily disrupted Sony’s tradition and replaced it with an online audience.

In the latest announcement, the technology company from Japan announced plans to hold an online product launch event on April 14, 2021. The event will be streamed live on Sony Xperia Youtube channel starting at 16:30 Japanese time or 14:30 Vietnamese time.

Sony has yet to reveal the device being introduced. But it’s likely to be the Xperia 1 III 5G. The model is expected to become one of the best Android phones in 2021.

Leaks on the sidelines reveal that the next-generation high-end Sony phone will replace the Xperia 1 II with a series of significant upgrades. Can be mentioned as “periscope” lens camera, 6.5-inch screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 chip and at least 256GB of internal memory. Analysts predict the expected price of the Xperia 1 III 5G will be from $ 1,199.

In addition to the Xperia 1 III 5G in the high-end segment, Sony may also launch the Xperia 10 III in the mid-range segment. A few leaked images of this model have been leaked but not much other information.
