Cheap wireless headsets are now rampant online, with a Eurasian brand, big and small enough not to lack anything. WeBuy previously evaluated the Swedish brand Defunc’s Headphone Go, and now it’s retired because of a broken headband. After searching for a replacement headset for a while, we found the iFrogz Resound looked quite worth the investment, the brand was from the US so it was quite reliable.
This beautiful render, if you read the review 99% is a compliment, what else is there to worry about?
First eye hit, it must be said that it looks very beautiful, as luxurious as a few million. The price is also reduced sharply from 899,000 VND to over 500,000 VND only. We then carefully go online to find enough reviews to see how the quality is before deciding.
The results returned are mostly compliments of both design, machining quality and sound. So, after a week of consideration, her brother was picked up.
The design is not as beautiful as expected, the machining is poor, the material is too cheap
It is true that there is too much hope so disappointment is no less. Right from the time we opened this headphone box, we saw a lack of light: The paper box and the thin plastic headphone holder were pretty good, because ships from HCM to Hanoi were still a bit distorted.
Looking at the photos can not see the ugly of this headset.
The leather ear cushions are quite hard, hard to hug the earlobes and have many poorly machined details.
The only visible road looks quite poor.
The charging port cover is the most disappointing because the “witty” plastic is stiff and uncertain.
The buttons are also poorly machined, stiff, heavy-handed, poor bounce and uncomfortable feeling.
The headband does not have a cushion, but just a rubber layer, not smooth, a bit of a headache because the metal joint is quite hard.
I intend to ignore it, but when actually holding the product in hand, it is true that ‘the image is only for advertising’. The processing quality looks “cheap”, bad plastic and rubber materials, extremely fast scratches, easy to get dirty, pale color, not “smooth” as shown on the render, buttons, cover The charging port is sketchy to look like Hang Ma. It is true that the price is just over 500k but still does not bring the feeling of worth the money.
In general, the case material and machining quality of this headset are completely different from expectations when viewing advertisements and photos online.
How is the sound quality?
Like many other cheap headphones, iFrogz Resound brings the right V-Shape sound quality to match the exciting electronic music genres that are trending today. Bass strip shows thick, solid, tinkling treble but the detail is not high.
Particularly, the mid strip was “crushed” without mercy. Songs with male voices are still okay, but the female singer’s voice sounds very thin and faint, slightly sibilance. Those who have easy ears and only listen to lively music will feel fine, and anyone who likes to listen to soft and lyrical music will not see the singer’s feelings.
The detail is not high, the mid range is faint and the volume is too low, which is a big minus point.
In particular, a small but extremely loud minus point of iFrogz Resound is that the volume is too low, fully turned on, only about 70% of the other headphones. Just sitting in a quiet office, we also have to turn on the volume of 80% to be enough to hear, especially when the vocal / speaking part has been “engulfed”.
The battery is the only bright spot
Actually, the number of 20 hours of continuous listening is not too “terrible”, but at least it is also the most “truthful” aspect of this headset. We can use it for at least 3-4 days to have to recharge. In addition, a small plus point is that the product is light water resistant, for example, when you go to the gym and sweat a lot, get drizzly or accidentally pour a little water on it, do not worry about damage.
Conclusion: I’d rather not buy than
At 500k, you still have a few more options that are worth the money than iFrogz Resound.
For example, the previous Defunc Headphone Go, at least acceptable because of its cheap price (only 350k when sold), the initial experience was good and only “scrap” when the headband was broken. With iFrogz Resound, it’s too bad because the ad is a bit “outrageous”, the feeling of wearing is not very pleasant, the sound quality is not good and especially the processing is very poor, not worth the price of 500k.
