Telegram for Windows 10 updates add important security features

With competitors raising concerns about data privacy, Telegram has updated its Windows app to add more security features. As a result, users will be able to better control their own data.

Telegram’s new feature in Windows 10 lets you delete groups you create and messages and call history on all sides. This causes any data you ever exchanged to disappear completely without a trace.

On mobile devices, you can also delete a secret group for all parties. Since Telegram does not store chat messages, call history or groups, your data will be completely deleted when you click the delete button.

Last year, Telegram updated to support group calls and now continues to update with new features that improve the group calling experience. The new update introduces a feature that allows you to adjust the volume of each participant in a group call.

During a group call, you can click the menu to adjust each person’s microphone volume. The group administrator can change the microphone volume of all group members.

Finally, you can report fake groups or channels to famous individuals or organizations. To do this, you need to open their Profile and hit the Report button.

Telegram’s new update for Windows 10 is currently rolling out to global users and will be available for download via the Microsoft Store soon. You can also update by checking for updates in the Microsoft Store or by going directly to Telegram’s site.
