Before launching in other markets in Southeast Asia, the new generation of Toyota Wigo will soon be launched in Indonesia under the name Toyota Agya and Daihatsu Ayla (Toyota Wigo sold under the Daihatsu brand) of the new generation. Although the official launch time of the rival model of Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10 has not been announced yet, a source from Daihatsu revealed that in March this year, this model will be launched. There are even rumors that the new generation of Toyota Wigo will be launched soon in February.

With the use of the DNGA-A chassis modified by Daihatsu from Toyota’s global TNGA chassis, the new generation Toyota Wigo model promises to have big changes. Specifically, it is likely that the rival model of Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10 will use a 1.2L 3-cylinder engine to replace the 4-cylinder on the current generation. Like the “elder” Toyota Raize, the new Wigo will also be equipped with a D-CVT gearbox.

In addition to the standard version, a special version of Toyota Wigo is also promised to be introduced at the time of the car’s launch. Besides, the sports version GR Sport may also be announced at this time.

The look of the Toyota Wigo will be almost completely reworked with a design inspired by the likes of the Vios and Avanza in the region with the removal of fog lights, narrower headlights and a new grille.

Although the new generation of Toyota Wigo has not been officially launched, there are currently a number of genuine dealers accepting orders. Although Toyota has yet to confirm the information, dealers have promised that the rival models of Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10 will be delivered sometime between March and April this year.
