Honda currently holds only 6% market share in the 100-110 cc segment in India. This segment is currently dominated by Hero Motor – an Indian car brand. With the launch of Honda LIVO – the 4th motorcycle model of this Japanese automaker in the 100-100cc segment, Honda hopes to create a breakthrough in the sales race.

The engine that Honda LIVO uses is a very familiar 109.19cc, air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum capacity of 8.36 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.36 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The car uses a 4-speed gearbox and has a announced maximum speed of 86 km / h. The Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine uses Honda’s Intelligent Ignition Control System (HIICS). LIVO has conveniences like a 5-step adjustable rear suspension and tubeless tyres.

Honda LIVO has 4 color options, including: Athletic Blue (sky blue), Sunset Brown (brown), Pearl Amazing White (white) and black.

Honda LIVO is available in two variants, one with drum brakes for only Rs 52,989 (about VND 16 million) and one with front disc brakes for Rs 55,489 (VND 17.4 million). A self-starter system and alloy wheels are standard on both variants. The price of LIVO disc brake variant is very close to CB Shine’s drum brake variant. LIVO’s cheap price is expected to make this model easier to reach consumers than Honda Winner X and Yamaha Exciter.
