(CHK) It is not surprising that this model holds the No. 1 position on the automobile sales chart in Vietnam in April 2022.
According to the sales report of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the best-selling car position in April in Vietnam has a new owner, Honda City. Thus, this model first won the top spot in the auto sales chart in 2022 with more than 3,000 cars sold in April.
Specifically, April sales of Honda City reached 3,013 vehicles, up 72% compared to the previous month (1,744 vehicles). In the B-segment sedan segment, rivals such as Toyota Vios or Mitsubishi Attrage have both grown in sales, however, have yet to reach the 3,000-car mark. Notably, Hyundai Accent also saw a decrease in sales.
With sales of 3,013 vehicles in April, Honda City has sold 7,273 vehicles since the beginning of this year. Compared to the same period last year, City’s sales have grown by 76%.
The fact that Honda City rose to the top of the auto sales chart seems to come as no surprise. The reason for this strong sales growth is the policy of 50% reduction in registration fees. Besides, because many other models on the market are in short supply, many buyers have sought out existing models – and Honda City is the model that has not been affected by supply in the past month. .
Dealers still have a stable number of vehicles delivered to customers. In addition, Honda City also enjoys discounts and applies many other gift incentives. These are the reasons that help this model “on top” hold the highest position on the sales rankings in the Vietnamese automobile market.
