Toyota Camry 2022 revealed with an impressive series of upgrades, promising to maintain the segment’s throne

As planned, the facelifted version of Toyota Camry 2022 will be officially introduced in the Malaysian market at 9 pm tonight (local time). This D-size sedan will have many upgrades in both design and equipment, promising to make it difficult for competitors in the same segment.

Compared to its predecessor, the Toyota Camry 2022 has been refined in a softer design than before. In addition, the central air intake on the Toyota Camry 2022 is also redesigned more clearly with a large grille. The wheels on the Toyota Camry 2022 also have a new design while the rear lights of the car have also been tweaked.

Different from the rather gentle changes on the outside, the interior of the Toyota Camry 2022 is expected to have many “makeovers” in both design and equipment. According to sources, Toyota Camry 2022 facelift will be equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen (instead of 8-inch like its predecessor).

Along with that, the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 safety package on the Toyota Camry 2022 has also been updated and added some modern features such as pedestrian detection technology at night, cyclists in the daytime or new adaptive cruise control system.

Currently, information about the engine of the Toyota Camry 2022 Malaysia version has not been disclosed. However, it is likely that the Toyota Camry 2022 will use the new 2.5L Dynamic Force engine block like the version previously launched in Thailand.

This engine block helps Toyota Camry 2022 have more power of 25 hp and 15 Nm of torque, up to 209 hp at 6,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Accompanying this engine block is an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission instead of the 6-speed like its predecessor.
