Instructions for registration and trading on Bitfinex exchange

Create a Bitfinex account

Step 1: Visit the link: https://www.bitfinex.com, then click on the box “OPEN ACCOUNT”.

Step 2: Select all the boxes for “I understand” then scroll down and click “Proceed”.

Step 3: Fill out the information then click “Open Account”.

Step 4: Log in to your email, click “CONFIRM EMAIL ADDRESS” to confirm, then log back into your Bitfinex account.

Verify Bitfinex account

Step 1: Sign in to your account on Bitfinex. Then, scroll down, click on “Verification” in the left corner of the homepage.

Step 2: Click on “Begin Verification” to start verifying your account.

Step 3: Check the appropriate type of account: “Individual account” / “Corporate account” (business account). Then, select nationality “Vietnam” and tick all 6 verification reasons and then click “Continue” to continue.

Step 4: Select the type of account you just registered and click “Continue to Individual / Corporate Verification”.

Step 5: Complete 5 requirements of the verification procedure, including:

• Name and contact information: provide full name, perform direct phone authentication.
• Address: Enter the address information shown in the hometown section of your ID card.
• Personal information: authenticate information correctly with photos of original front, back of ID card or passport, selfie photo and other related documents.
• Financial: provides financial capacity to verify your investment ability.
• Information about the account holder: download the verification form and fill out the information under this form and then upload.

After completing these verification requirements, you will be able to trade on Bitfinex. However, the verification process takes quite a long time, it can take up to 1 week or even half a month so make sure that everything you provide is completely correct for the verification process to be completed.

2FA security settings on Bitfinex

Step 1: Sign in to your account on Bitfinex. Then, scroll down, click on “Security” in the left corner of the home page.

Step 2: Click on the “Two-Factor Authentication” item.

Step 3: Select “SETUP” under Google Authenticator. Bitfinex supports 3 different security methods, but it’s best to choose Google Authenticator.

Step 4: Download the Google Authenticator app to your phone and scan the QR code on the Bitfinex web, then enter the 2FA token on your phone into the Bitfnex web and click “ENABLE”.

How to create a Bitcoin / Altcoin wallet on Bitfinex

Step 1: Access your account on Bitfinex and select “Transfer” and click “Deposit”. Then, click on the coin you want to create a wallet for (assuming you want to create a Bitcoin wallet).

Step 2: Click “Click to generate address”.

Note: Do not press the refresh icon until you have transferred the coin you want.

How to trade on Bitfinex

Step 1: Select the coin you want to trade in the “BALANCES” section.

Step 2: In the Order form, enter the amount of coin you want to buy / sell and then select buy / sell order in the box “Exchange Buy” / “Exchange Sell”.
