World Surf League announces Apple Watch as official competitive device in sports environment

During the 2023 Championships, WSL athletes will use the WSL Surfer app on their Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra to receive notifications while they’re surfing in the competition. This app is designed to synchronize with the WSL Scoring System during live competition, providing athletes with important insights into scores, wave priority and timing. remaining time in the game.

Each athlete will receive an Apple Watch before each game, with the watch pre-installed with the WSL app. This app has been tested with Championship surfers on two previous tours to ensure that it meets the needs of athletes.
