Yamaha Exciter’s juniors are ready to debut causing ‘seismic’, their appearance is better than Honda Winner X

After a long wait for fans in Europe, Yamaha is finally preparing to launch the new Yamaha XSR125.

The Yamaha XSR125 will use the Yamaha NT-125 and YZF-R125 engine and chassis being developed with a 1-piston, 4-stroke, water-cooled, 124.8 cc SOHC engine with VVA or valve system. Variable is adjustable. The position of the valve and camshaft is consistent with the range of increased speeds. The car is legally limited to A1-class capacity with a maximum capacity of 14.75 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

Regarding the main structure, the Yamaha XSR125 will be redesigned from the XSR155. However, the manufacturer has adjusted the XSR125 to be 2 mm shorter, 1 mm wider and 10 mm taller. This may be a change to suit the stature of Europeans, which are larger than Asians. The change also includes the use of front and rear suspension which can be quite different from the XSR155.

Basically, the chassis of the Yamaha XSR125 resembles the R125 and the MT-125 with a diamond frame, aluminum swingarm. Anti-travel shock absorbers, single disc brakes are available in both front and rear wheels. To comply with safety standards, the manufacturer has added ABS to this model.

Yamaha XSR125 will have larger front tires R125 and MT125 with 110 / 70-17 tires instead of 100 / 80-17 size as two “brothers”. The rear tire is the same size 140 / 70-17 as the tubeless or tubed tire.

The Yamaha XSR125 is expected to use the production facility at its MBK factory in France. This place will be the distribution center for products for showrooms and distributors across Europe. It is expected that this model will be sold around the end of 2021.
